This replacement piston bumper is designed for use with Hitachi nailers.
The purpose of this piston bumper is to prevent the piston from hitting the bottom of the cylinder.If the bumper is cracked or missing parts, you could seriously damage the cylinder.
Because this part has taken so much abuse, it has a tendency to break and fall apart.
If you see parts of this bumper falling off your nail gun, it’s definitely time to replace it!
Repair Method:
To complete this repair job you should need a screwdriver set.
Remove the end cover/cap
Carefully remove the internal components
Replace the old bumper with a new one
Reassemble and test the unit
